Forecast
The forecast of housing needs or requirements is a prediction of numbers which would arise in future years based on a model of the factors which infuence those numbers and assumptions about (a) the behaviour of households and the market and (b) how these factors or key determinants are likely to change. It involves understanding relationships and predicting behaviour in response to preferences and economic conditions.
